Hospital-Level Anesthesia, Right Here

We’re one of the few dental offices in the area with an on-site anesthesiologist, allowing us to provide hospital-level general anesthesia in the comfort of our office — from cleanings to complex surgery.

In order for a dental office to provide sedation dentistry in the form of anesthesia, an anesthesiologist, or doctor specializing in delivering anesthesia, must be present. Anesthesiologists go through 8 years of school and an additional 3-4 years of residency to earn the prestigious title — This is the same type of medical professional who works in a hospital (well trained and very safe). While under the effects of anesthesia, the anesthesiologist monitors the body’s vital functions and manages breathing. A patient cannot be awakened while under anesthesia until the effects of anesthesia wear off or are reversed with medication.

Nervous About Dental Work?

Sedation dentistry helps children and adults relax safely and comfortably. It’s also ideal for patients with special needs or difficulty sitting through treatment.

General anesthesia combines IV medication and inhaled gases so you can sleep deeply through your procedure while a medical anesthesiologist closely monitors breathing and vital signs the entire time.

General anesthesia may be right for you if:

  • You prefer to sleep through treatment
  • You’re anxious about needles or IV sedation
  • You need extensive dental work completed in one visit
  • Medical conditions limit other sedation options

We offer free consultations for anyone that is interested in sedation dentistry. Please call us at (585) 335-2201 or fill out the form below to schedule!
