Dental Hygienist

Dental Hygienist position is currently available. This is a rare occurrence as most of our hygienists tend to come here from other practices and stay indefinitely.

Our hygiene department is progressive, providing exceptionally high quality care and service, and is patient-centered. Our office is fully digital for radiographs, including intraoral cameras in every hygiene room. We have a part-time periodontist on staff and we provide a complete range of hygiene and periodontal services, including services typically offered only in the periodontist office.

Every treatment room has a large window looking out over a great view. Our equipment is new or nearly new, and in good repair. We have a large spacious staff break room with a kitchen, a fitness room available to staff 24/7, individual lockers, laundry facilities, convenient parking, and more.

We believe in attracting and retaining top tier hygienists. We do this by offering higher than typical wages, and a high level of professional respect, appreciation, and autonomy. Our hygienists can also opt in for health insurance, pension plan, college savings plan, a health savings account, and vacation time. Occasionally we provide continuing education as well.

Because we are a group practice, hygienists are more easily able to arrange coverage for planned time off and are not required to take time off when the doctor is out. We also do not ask our hygienists to work without a doctor in the building, as we believe this is against the intention of the NYS law and not in the best interest of the patients.

One of our key advantages to patients is offering hours that work for them. This means that we appreciate hygienists willing to work some evening and Saturday hours (We pay an evening and Saturday wage differential).

Wages: Hygienist wages in this practice begin at $45 per hour, plus benefits.

Dental Receptionist / Secretary / Business Assistant

We are looking for friendly, high energy, positive people who enjoy working with the public and are able to multi-task. Applicants must be highly organized and detailed, accurate in paperwork, finances, and general work, professional in appearance and attitude. This is a popular office, and therefore busy. This position is well suited to someone who enjoys working with people and being busy. For the right person, it’s a wonderful friendly supportive atmosphere where you will grow personally and professionally while working with a team that strives to make a significant positive difference in people’s lives.

Duties: Include answering telephones, scheduling patients, handling dental insurance and patient finances, and working with computers.

Wages: Starting wage is based upon experience level but generally is $18 per hour and we will train you. With progress reviews, wage increases at 90 and 180 days.

Benefits package: Benefits include group health insurance contribution, retirement plan, paid vacation, paid personal time, paid holidays, and dental care.

Hours: Full time position of 32 – 40 hours per week, including some evening and Saturday hours, but not every evening and not every Saturday (unless desired by employee).

Dental Assistant

Duties: Responsible for assisting the dentist in the treatment room, providing hands-on dental care for patients. As part of this role, our assistants complete instrument sterilization, patient education, processing x-rays, cleaning operatories, seating and dismissing patients, generally working to make the patient visit as comfortable and beneficial as possible.

Training: We provide on-the job training. For assistants who have been with our office full time for over two years, we pay tuition and wage incentive to achieve NYS certification and licensure which can to be done online or through Monroe Community College. Achieving NYS licensure increases the tasks that are legally performed by the assistant and allows the assistant to earn a higher wage.

Wages: Starting wage for applicants without previous experience is $18 per hour. A NYS licensed dental assistant with experience can make $25 or more per hour.

Benefits package: Upon successful completion of a probationary period, benefits include paid personal time, vacation time, holidays, group health insurance contributions, 401k retirement plan, uniforms, dental care, and continuing education.

Hours: Will include some evening and Saturday hours. Evening hours are generally complete by 7:30 pm but can sometimes run later for emergency patients. Saturday hours are typically every other Saturday.
